The gas-fired turbine of Nhon Trach Power Plant No. 2 - generator ST 10 in southern Dong Nai Province has officially generate to national grid on Aug 13 ; 7 days ahead of schedule.The event reflects the excellent performance of the Việt Nam National Oil and Gas Group, PV-Power, Nhon trach Power plant no 2 and other contractors (LILAMA/PVC) in term of installation, testing the combined cycled. Nhon Trach Power Plant No. 2 is expected to enter commercial operation at the end of Oct 2011.In addition, this is one of the important steps for ensuring electricity supply for the country, particularly in the coming year.The two-turbine power plant is being built in the southern province of Đồng Nai with a total investment of US $706 million. When construction finishes, the gas-fueled power plant will have a total capacity of 750 MW./.
