On the date March 7, 2014 at Haiphong city, PetroVietnam Power Corporation and Viet Nam Public Bank (PVcombank) signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement. Attending the meeting were Mr Do Van Hau – CEO of PetroVietnam, Chairman of Board of PVcombank Mr NguyenDinh Lam and CEO Mr Nguyen Thien Bao. From PV Power were Chairman of Board Mr Do Chi Thanh and CEO Mr Vu Huy Quang, divisions & representatives.
Accordingly, the two parties will cooperate on provision and use of products and services such as deposit services, asset management services,credit provision and capital arrangements, investment cooperation and financial advisory, personal financial services, media operations .

Besides, the two sides also agreed to hold regular seminars, share contents of risk management and operation, especially risks related tofinancial and accounting activities.
PVcomBank officially debuted on October 3 with assets totalling 100 trillion VND (4.7 billion USD) and charter capital of 9 trillion VND (423 million USD), with 52% shares held by Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN), 6,7% shares held by foreign strategic shareholder namely Morgan Stanley .
