Present at the signing ceremony was Tay-Seek Lee, general director of EN Technologies, alongside other representatives of its related departments.

On the PV Power side, Hoang Van Quang, chairman of the board of directors, Le Nhu Linh, general director of PV Power, and other board members, in addition to heads of functional departments and subsidiary units, attended the event.

As outlined in the National Power Development Plan for the 2021 to 2030 period, with a vision towards 2050 by the Prime Minister, the nation will gradually switch to using green fuels, such as hydrogen, ammonia, and biomass for thermal power plants, whilst developing flexible power sources, storage batteries, and energy storage. This will be done in a bid to regulate the load and maintain the stability of the national power system. Boasting the close guidance of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, PV Power, the second-largest electricity producer in the nation, is making significant efforts in terms of energy transformation as it seeks to become a leading power producer of clean, green, and environmentally-friendly electricity, in line with the general trend of the country.

EN Technologies Inc. was first established in 2003 in the Republic of Korea with major shareholders including Samsung, LG, and Korea Development Bank. The limited liability firm boasts 20 years of experience in terms of developing energy storage systems, power supplies, switchgear, and infrastructure for electric vehicle charging stations.

In the spirit of mutual trust, the MOU signed between PV Power and EN Technologies focuses on market research for the creation of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and the installation of ESS pilot projects. It also specifies the legal foundation and defines the location, places, technologies, specifications, design drawings, total investment, construction, and operation of the ESS.

The signing of this MOU is expected to help both sides promote tight co-operation in relation to settling joint work for mutual development opportunities, whilst simultaneously raising their position and prestige in the region and the world.
