A second turbine at the HuaNa Hydroelectric Power Plant in the central province of Nghe Anwas officially placed into operation on March 27.
Theturbine increases the total capacity at the plant by 180MW and will generatearound 717 million kWh of electricity annually. The plant’s first turbine with a capacity of 90MW went on line Feb 1 2013.
Theconstruction of the plant began in March 2008 was completed with a total invested cost of nearly VND6 trillion (US$288 million).

Hua Na Hydropower, with the capacity of 180 MW – two set 90 MW is located in Thong Thu and Dong Van commune, Que Phong district, Nghe An Province. This plant covers an area of 2412 ha and 1.300 family were resettled by project.
