Dakdrinh Hydroelectric Power Plant’s first turbine was officially put into operation on May 23 in Son Tay district, Quang Ngai province.

The construction of Dakđrinh Hydroelectric Power Plant began in Jan 2011. Its total investment capital was VND 4,000 billion. It consists of two turbines with total capacity of 125 MW and produces around 540 KWh every year.
The plant helps to increase the supply of water for lowlands in summer and reduce flooding in lower areas in the rainy season. The second turbine will be operate in July 2014 .
