May 17 2007: PetroVietnam Power Corporation is a holding company – One-Membered Company Limited, established by and with 100% capital from Vietnam Oil and Gas Group under Decision No 1468/QD-DKVN by President of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group.
* July 2007: Vietnam Oil and Gas Group issued the Decision to appoint some of company , associated companies under the management of PETROVIETNAM to PetroVietnam Power Corporation. The name list are as bellows:

* June 2009: Establishment of Thai Binh project management board.
* June 2009: 2th year anniversary of Petrovietnam Power Corporation . Luanch PV-POWER’s cultural company.
* June 2009: Breaking ground Nhon Trach 2 Power Plant
* August 2009 Inauguration of Nhon Trach Power Plant 1
* Dec 2009: Signing contract ceremony for purchasing electric of PV –Power Nhon Trach 1 and PV Power Ca mau between EVN and PV Power .
* January 2010: PV Power Ca Mau’s electricity output reached 10 billion kwh
* January 2010: Mass blocked Chu river for Hua Na Hydropower Plant (Nghe An province).

* Sept 2010 PV-Power Nhon Trach 1 power plant reaches 5 billion kWh
* Oct 2010: Signed Consulting Engineering Contract for EPC package Thai Binh Thermal Power Project 2 between the PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power ) and the consortium of contractors PV Power Project Consultant JS Company (PV Power PCC) - Fichtner GmbH & Co.KG (Germany) ..
* Nov 2010: 4-year summation of campaign "Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh morality" . Celebration "On the first landing" of planning in the year of 2010 (at Dong Nai ).
* Nov 2010: Breaking ground wind power plant project in Phu Quy island, Binh Thuan province .
* Dec 26 2010 PV-Power Nhon Trach 2 connect to National Power Grid
* Jan 26 2011 PV-Power received the Gold cup of construction in year of 2010 for Ca mau1 & 2 Power Plant.
* PV-Power was voted "Gold Star Award in 2010 for the best 100 Enterprise in Vietnam"
* Jan 23 2011 Breaking ground EPC project of Thai binh 2 Thermal Power Plant.
